Artist of the week


Last week, the long awaited presentation of Checkers the Corn Snake was expertly delivered to 3rd grade by 6th grade science students. They even promoted a coloring contest.









Reminder: Tomorrow (4/13) is our 5th-8th grade STUDENT ONLY fun night from 6:00-8:30pm. We have games and activities planned. Snacks and drinks will be available at no cost. Pizza and soda will be available for purchase. All proceeds go to Shell Knob Athletic Dept. Please pick your students up no later than 8:30pm.

Spring Family Reading Night





6th grade science class made plant cell models





After reading books as good as The BFG and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, you then follow the recipes and make Snoozcumbers and edible slime, of course!





Sixth grade students took a career field trip to Harter House. They learned there are multiple jobs available at Harter House, including bagger, cashier, meat cutter, bakers, produce manager, and customer service positions. Some jobs, like the bagger, they can do as early as age 16, while others, like the meat cutter, take special training.

The seventh grade class has been learning how to code CuteBots. This is part of a program sponsored by MSU CODERS, in which students in rural schools are given opportunities to engage in computer science.

Join us tonight from 5:00-6:30 for our Family Reading night! The book fair will be open, enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner and play some games. All students that attend this evening will receive a free book from the book fair.
