Friday night!

Come and meet the SKS staff!

Make a positive difference in the life of SKS students, become a mentor.

Corporal Dan Shores of the Missouri Conservation Department taught sixth grade about everything that goes along with being a conservation agent. Students learned that agents get all kinds of cool tools, like boats and side-by-sides, to do their job, and they have very flexible hours. Agent's duties also change by the season. Becoming an agent is very competitive, because there is one agent per county. To become an agent you have to have a bachelor's degree and complete the state's academy.

From the Missouri Highway Patrol:
"No matter how you are approaching a school bus, you must stop and stay on any two-lane road when the flashing lights and/or stop arm are activated. Stop and stay applies to parking lots, including at schools, as well! No matter where you are, if you see flashing lights and an extended stop arm, stop and stay. It's the law!"

Join the fun on the 18th!

If you would like to make a positive difference in the lives of SKS students, become a mentor. Come and see what it is all about.

They also learned that farmers us skills from core school classes regularly. Farmers have to have good communication and be flexible.
