It has been said many times, "It takes a village to raise a child," (African proverb). When a school is embraced and supported by its community, the outcome is wonderful success.  Community members and businesses play a vital role in the way schools make a positive difference in students' lives. The Shell Knob community constantly invests in its school, selflessly showing compassion and meeting the needs of students.  The power of committed citizens towards a school is a formula for a positive learning environment for students.

The Holy Family Catholic Church of Shell Knob recently donated $250 for supplies needed in the nurse's office. Mary Wolf represented the Parish Council of Catholic Women (PCCW) and donated the check to Shell Knob school nurse Duke Denton.

Rev. Rick Pearson with Camp Table Rock, Fun in the Sun Ministries, stopped by the school with a check for $1,000.00. He states it has been another great year and wanted to give to the school. Rick has done this multiple years.  www.camptablerock.com/whoweare

Mike Lentz, from the Holy Family Catholic Church Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids Program presented Principal Ethan Farr with a box of youth sized coats for Shell Knob students.

The Shell Knob Chargers have been blessed over and over by this wonderful community, which obviously embraces the belief, "There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about." (Margaret J. Wheatley)
