The Holy Family Catholic Church of Shell Knob recently donated $250 for supplies needed in the nurses office. Mary Wolf represented the Parish Council of Catholic Women (PCCW) and donated the check to Shell Knob school nurse Duke Denton.
Mrs. Wolf told Nurse Duke that the church held a bake sale earlier this year and they wanted some of the proceeds to support the school. The women’s group has been making this donation for several years. In the past, the PCCW donated supplies such as socks, clothes, towels, and other supplies Nurse Duke may need to effectively do his job. This year, they decided to donate money instead, so that Nurse Duke could purchase the things he needed most.
Nurse Duke said, “It is incredibly kind of the PCCW to care for our school, specifically the nurses office. This donation will go along way in purchasing needed supplies to help take care of our students. I truly appreciate their support.”
