bowling

This year, during the summer school session, students enjoyed two field trips. The first week, students went to B & B Theater in Monett where they enjoyed the new version of Lilo and Stitch.  After the movie, the students went to the Monett Park where they enjoyed pizza for lunch from Pizza Hut of Monett and then had tons of fun on the playground equipment.

The second trip was to the Strike Zone in Aurora.  Students and staff showed off their amazing bowling skills!  This trip was especially fun for some students, as it was their first time ever to bowl.  Not only is bowling great physical activity, it is also a great way to incorporate some math by learning how to keep score.  When bowling was finished, students again enjoyed pizza for lunch, this time from Your Pizza Place in Aurora.  After lunch students played at the Oak Park playground before heading back to school.

Due to the weather, the last trip was cancelled. Students were going to go to Roaring River State Park for a hatchery tour and a picnic. Maybe next year!
