This year, on May 1st, marked the 4th annual science fair hosted by Shell Knob Science teacher, Millie TK. All middle school students entered a project for everyone to see. Elementary K-5th grade could choose individual projects or a whole class project. On science fair day, projects are set up all around the gym. Each grade had a specific time to present their projects to the other students. Projects included just about every topic you could think of; from space, chemical reactions, motion and food! Second grade hatched chrysalis into butterflies and on May 1st, several of the butterflies emerged making for perfect timing! After presentations, the projects were voted on by staff and students. The voting determined the best project in their grade category. Each project was on display as the community was invited to the viewing during the evening. Hard work and effort went into each project, making it a fun day for everyone!
