Shell Knob Lady Chargers opened their volleyball season on Monday at Blue Eye.  Shell Knob A team lost the match in two sets and B team lost one set. Returning coaches, Cody Hobbs and Kendra Richter were not disappointed.  Coach Richter said, "We lost, but they did well and they had good attitudes."  Coach Hobbs commented, "They flat hustled. That is the best part for me."  The rest of the season looks promising and the athletes are learning every time they step out onto the court.

Practice is essential to be prepared, however a little fun in practice makes for some great learning opportunities.  Before their first game, the Lady Chargers took on the SK staff in a volleyball match.   No one really knows the winning score, however each side claimed victory over the other.  Some of the staff proved they still got it!  Some others were great cheerleaders for their teammates. Either way, there were some good vollies between the two teams.  No doubt this match helped prepare the athletes for their first home game against Wheaton.  The Lady Chargers A team fell to Wheaton in 2 sets and the B team won their set.  Even though Shell Knob has not experienced their first win, the season is off to a great start. Later this week, the girls will face South West and Purdy.  Make plans to come and support the Lady Chargers in one of their games this season.
