8th grade class

On Thursday, April 6th, the Shell Knob School’s 8th grade class went on a trip to Jefferson City.  The trip was a 3 hour bus ride, so we had to leave earlier than we are used to. The first thing we did was take a tour of the Museum of Missouri Military History where We learned many exhibits from 1808 to present day. Then, we took a tour of the Capitol building. There, we met Missouri State Representative Scott Cupps. He talked about his job and he even took a picture with us. After that, we got to tour the Supreme Court building and see the massive marble staircase in the lobby.  My favorite part of this trip was getting to go all the way to the top of the capitol building and getting to learn more about our government and what it’s like.
